Lavender and Bumblebees

Living on the San Juan Islands in Northwest Washington during the summer guarantees images of lavender. This images was taken at Pelindaba Lavender Farm, which is open to the public and to the bees.

Waldo Lake, Central Oregon

Taken during a 2-day hike around Waldo Lake during Summer. Little pockets of snow continue to fill the icy cold lake before continuing down the mountain into the Willamette River.

A small island in Waldo Lake, surrounded by some of the cleanest fresh water in the USA. The water is clear enough that you can see the rocks and sands 50 feet below the water's surface, adding a new dynamic to this photo.
